Karma
I was studying a few pages from New Dimensions in Healing this morning and found the following interesting series of ideas on the Law of Karma.

"Bad karma makes you miss opportunities. Opportunities pass in front of you, but you do not see them. You hear things, but you do not listen to them. You observe things, but you do not understand them.

"In the Core of the human being there is a timetable for his evolution. For example, in this life he must reach the summit of that mountain when he is twenty-one. At age thirty-five he must reach a higher peak. At age forty-two he must reach the summit of an even higher mountain. At age sixty-three he must reach a certain initiation. If this timetble is not met, he will meet many difficulties, complications, and sufferings to keep going and meet the timetable of his evolution. And if he cannot reach it, his karmic tax increases for the next life.

"You must remember that without the permission of your karma, you cannot be initiated; it is your merit that initiates you."

"1. Bad karma creates diseases, accidents and even death. People must not blame life or others if bad karma hits them. Grace, which is a result of the contents of your Chalice, diminishes bad karma, protects you from many dangers, and prevents dark attacks.
2. Bad karma destroys your magnetism, your attractiveness. People begin to leave you alone. Your helpers and co-workers disappear. People reject you and ignore you....   Increase your magnetism with good deeds, and you pave the way for your prosperity and health.
3. Bad karma weakens your intelligence, your creativity, your insight and foresight.
4. Bad karma results in depression.
5. Bad karma prevents you from coming in contact with higher spheres, higher realities.
6. Bad karma delays your liberation.
7. Bad karma prevents you from meeting your Inner Guide or your Master."

"King Akbar used to do very dangerous things. When once he was asked why he was risking his life, he replied, 'Nothing will happen to me if I am protected by God. If not, let it happen."

WMEA Annual Living Ethics conference
Dear Friends,

This is a reminder to contact the WMEA headquarters office (928-778-0638) or mail in your registration forms for our 2009 Living Ethics annual conference and preconference which takes place in March. If you have deleted the conference flyer from your email, you can access it through the WMEA website: http://www.wmea-world.org.

If you are out of state, you will need to make arrangements with the WMEA office regarding Chapel Rock lodging/accomodations. The price of the lodging includes three meals Tuesday through Thursday. As a lodging guest you will receive your first meal Monday evening, and last meal on Friday will be breakfast only.  The meals are all home made and the staff there does their best to meet our needs.

The accomodations are wonderful as they are nestled among the pine trees in the Prescott National Forest. It is peacful and quiet.

Please be aware that you can get into your assigned room at Chapel Rock on Monday afternoon, around 3 pm, at the start of the conference. However, you will need to make your own accomodations for the preconference weekend, since the preconference location is at Creekside Center (and not at Chapel Rock).

If you prefer an "upstairs" room or "downstairs" room, please let us know.

Love,
Joleen

New Year Begins Now!
Dear University Students,

Vacation days are over. This means it is time to send in your next course lesson as soon as it is prepared. Some of you have already done that, as I received lessons to evaluate this morning; also meditation course lessons to review.

The faculty, too, has been on a so-called vacation, reviewing their created courses, making any needed or desired changes during this time, and are all now ready to get back to work sharing their knowledge and experience of the Teaching with you.

Remember, each WMEA faculty instructor has been on the Path of Transformation and students of the specialized Teaching of the Ageless Wisdom for over 20-25 years. All have studied with myself for that amount of time and all have also been students of Torkom Saraydarian. They are highly qualified in their field.

As a reminder, it is important to stick to your turn-in schedule. This creates a rhythm to your studies and enables the faculty member to be available to you on the day you have scheduled a "turn-in." If however certain life-events forces you to change the "turn-in" schedule, please do not procrastinate in doing so, for to do so, will give you a grade reduction for lack of punctuality.

When you send in your course lesson, each faculty instructor will notify you of a "received receipt" within 24 - 48 hours. If you do not receive such a receipt it would be good to send an email to your instructor notifying him or her that your lesson was emailed. If you still do not receive a response from the instructor, then please notify joleen: dean@wmea-world.org so she can investigate the problem.

Love to you,
Joleen
